History

Lumberville, Pennsylvania is a town in Bucks County just outside of the City of Philadelphia. General George Wall of the Revolutionary War originally settled the village and built a series of lumber mills, which still works to this day. Lumberville was then purchased in 1869 by William Tinsman, who took over the lumber mills that were previously built by George Wall. This town is the location of the marriage of Paul and famous cookbook writer, Julia Child, on September 1^st, 1946.
