Phoenixville is a town in Chester County, Pennsylvania and is located 28 miles northwest of the City of Philadelphia. It was settled in 1732 and incorporated as Phoenixville in 1849. This community was known for its iron and steel mills and was the provider of several other goods including silk, hosiery, matches and most importantly, Etruscan majolica pottery. It was thanks to the extensive waterways that allowed this city to grow and allowed for the construction of many factories and mills.
