History

Telford is located in both Bucks and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania just outside of the City of Philadelphia. It was settled in 1719 by a group of Mennonites from the Palatinate of the Rhine. The town was called Country Line until 1857 when the Pennsylvania Railroad Company named the station after the civil engineer, Thomas Telford.
